National Institute of Open Schooling offers a lot of courses including high school, higher secondary, vocational courses, life enrichment programs, etc. of which D.EL.ED Course is main.

National Institute of Open Schooling, also commonly known as the Open School, was started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to provide education to the students of rural and backward classes so that they can complete their studies by studying at home without going to school. NIOS Board is valid in all government and private jobs and competitive examinations like CBSE, ICSE, and State Board.

Eligibility for NIOS

Secondary Course (Secondary Subject) – Mark list or self-certificate of class 8 pass.
Senior Secondary Course (Higher Secondary Subject) – Photocopy of 10th class marks list passed from any recognized board.

NIOS D.EL.ED

NIOS has introduced a new course D.EL.ED (Diploma in Elementary Education) is a training program for serving elementary and upper primary school teachers across the country.

D.EL.ED Eligibility

Educational qualification for D.EL.ED Admission for serving teachers should be passed with class 12th 50% marks. 45% marks in class 12th is compulsory for SC / ST / OBC / PH category.

• Candidates can register for National Institute of Open Schooling Stream 1 (2021) by visiting its official website www.nios.ac.in.
• Help can be taken for online application by visiting the nearest AI Center / Study Center.

• For the D.EL.ED Registration, the teacher’s form is forwarded by the Principal in the school itself.
