The University of Kalyani was set up in the year 1960 and has developed onto an extensive establishment with solid bases of organization and qualified personnel towards the mission of headway of learning and exploration. The university is approved by UGC and DEB.
The University of Kalyani, with the assistance of Distance Education Council, IGNOU, and different Universities of West Bengal has dispatched Directorate of Open and Distance Learning (DODL) at Post Graduate level for the students who are generally denied advanced education and as such filling in as a beacon of the learning people, all things considered, especially to such people who for various reasons, can’t go through the higher courses of studies as ordinary full-time students.
The University of Kalyani is working for a purpose to make advanced education accessible to people who for one explanation or others are not in a situation to indict concentrates under conventional projects as normal full-time understudies in scholarly organizations.
