Nalanda Open University (NOU) is a college at Patna in Bihar state, India. It is the main college in Bihar giving instruction through separation and open training.

The University is named after the well known Nalanda University of Ancient India. As of now, the University is working from its camp office at Biscomaun Bhawan, 2nd,3rd,4th and twelfth Floors, Patna 800 001.
The University has set up at its camp office at Patna a well prepared and completely mechanized current office in a territory of roughly 60,000 sq. feet, which houses an assessment place for around 1000 students, a best in class Library with around 50,000 titles, and a PC research center of around 300 IBM Pentium-4 PCs, aside from authoritative workplaces and other infrastructures.
The University is perceived by the Distance Education Council (DEC), University Grants Commission, and Ministry of HRD, Government of India for giving training through separation mode.
