Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University set up by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The settle and fundamental grounds of MANUU are situated in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana State, over a region of 200 acres of land.
The University is named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the political dissident and remarkable researcher, who as the main Education Minister of Independent India imagined and established the framework of specialized, logical, and advanced education in India.
The objects of Maulana Azad National Urdu University according to Section 4 of its Act 1996 (No. 2 of 1997) are:
