Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) was set up in the year 1998. It is a Central University set up at National Level by a demonstration of Parliament to advance and build up the Urdu language and to confer professional and specialized instruction in Urdu medium through ordinary and separation modes.
The DDE works on the reason of proliferating Urdu and coming to the unreached. Training of the oppressed is at the core of the command of DDE, and through its undergrad and graduate projects it takes into account the instructive requirements of a few huge number of Urdu talking individuals. DDE at present offers three Post-Graduate, three Under-Graduate, and eight PG Diploma/Diploma/Certificate programs somewhere out there mode, aside from the B. Ed. program. Every one of these projects have been affirmed by DEC and the B. Ed. program is perceived by the NCTE. The all out number of understudies enrolled in separation schooling is more than 1,00,000 spread more than 169 study focuses all over India. At present the University’s separation schooling encouraging group of people has nine Regional Centers one each at New Delhi, Bangalore, Patna, Darbhanga, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bhopal, Srinagar and Ranchi; six Sub-Regional Centers one each at Jammu, Mewat, Lucknow, Sambhal, Hyderabad and Amaravati and an Examination Center is in Jeddah, (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
