The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwavidyalaya (MMYVV) was set up by the Act No. 37 of 1995 of Madhya Pradesh Government vide Gazette notice no. 537 dated 29 Nov 1995. The University head office is arranged at Brahmsthan of India (geological focus of India) Village-Karaundi, District-Katni (prior Katni was essential for Jabalpur region), Madhya Pradesh. MMYVV has been set up as a legal University like some other legal college in India. MMYVV is perceived by UGC under area 2 (F) and is an individual from Association of Indian Universities.
