The narrative of Hislop College started in excess of a hundred and fifty years back, when a youthful Scottish Missionary, paying attention to the call of the Master, Jesus Christ, set out for India with fire in his stomach and dreams in his eyes. In 1846, Rev. Stephen Hislop began a kid’s school in old Nagpur with just 30 understudies. Today, the College is midway found and is viewed as probably the best establishment of higher learning in Central India. It offers an enormous number of under-graduate, post-graduate and doctoral projects in Arts, Science and Commerce and takes into account the necessities of more than 4000 understudies every year.
The College is controlled by the Hislop Education Society under the aegis of the Church of North India Synod. It was the principal organization to give advanced education in Vidarbha district and even originates before the foundation of RTM Nagpur University.
